A talent contest, a barbecue in the sunshine and a trip to the beach. The boarders had such fun.

Sun, glorious sun!!! We have truly been blessed with amazing weather this week, and the good weather continued over the weekend.

Intrigue and suspense were in the air on Saturday when Aerin B-C designed a murder mystery and lots of the children tried to solve her clues. This was not for the faint hearted!

Simon Cowell would have been proud of Emily D-M as she ran her own talent competition. There were lots of different activities ranging from singing to gymnastics. All the acts were great and would have impressed the Britain's Got Talent judges.

After an action packed afternoon the aroma of burgers and sausages sizzling away on the barbecue could be smelt and the kitchen staff did us proud by producing a sumptuous meal.

Sunny Sunday finally arrived and after a memorable chapel more than a hundred of us piled into the coach and minibuses and set off for the beach. It is amazing how much children love playing with sand and water. As soon as we got to Weymouth the children ran straight for the water. Laughter, splashing and swimming was the order of the day even if the water was icy cold. Quick cricket, children being buried alive, frisbee throwing were just a few of the activities we got up to.

All in all another great day out with friends and building a lifetime of memories, is what being a boarder at Hazlegrove is all about.
