The Pre-Prep school day ends at 3.45pm for Reception and at 4.00pm for Years 1 and 2 when children can be collected.  However, after-school activities are available on a daily basis for those pupils wishing to join in or for those parents who would like to collect their children later.  These activities run until 5.45pm and are charged on a daily basis.

Free activities in the Rainbow Room

As part of this activity programme, after-school "clubs" are offered each term to pupils in Years 1 and 2.  Parents receive a letter advising of the choices at the start of each term.  Once a pupil has opted to join a "club" they are expected to attend for the duration of the term.

Sports Club in the Sports Hall

After-school care runs alongside these clubs for those in Nursery and Pre-Prep for those who prefer a more relaxed free time after school.

Children staying for activities have tea at 4pm and free play until the activities start at 4.30pm.

Recorder Club

Some extra-curricular activities, such as tennis, ballet, contemporary dance, football and speech and drama run during the school day.  Some of these activities do incur an extra cost in the cases where they are run by specialist instructors.

Pre-Prep after-school tennis

Some clubs are very popular and places are limited, notably Swimming, Sports clubs and Tennis. Spaces will be allocated and every child will be given the opportunity to participate in their chosen club at some point during the year.

Recorder and Percussion Clubs

Mrs Moore takes these clubs. All instruments will be provided, but the children are welcome to bring their own recorders.

Golf

A maximum of 8 children can participate in this club.  Mr Marc Radford, a European Golf Teaching Federation (EGTF) qualified Golf Professional coach teaches Pre-Prep golf.

Tennis

Tennis with Miss Parkin-Bowes for Year 1 and 2 is on a Monday or Friday. Children are assigned the day of their club based on their ability. There are 12 places per session and a waiting list for those children who are unable to participate this term.

Swimming

A maximum of 16 children can participate in the club and therefore any child who does not make the list one term will be given priority the following term.

Speech and Drama

Speech and Drama is available as an optional extra for Year 2 children. Lessons are held during the school day, on a day and time to be confirmed by Miss de la Poer at the beginning of each term. Please speak to your class teacher if you are interested in your child joining Speech and Drama.

Judo

Mr Gleeson, who has taught the Prep children, has kindly agreed to start a club for the Pre-Prep.  This will be a chargeable club and as such a term's notice of withdrawal is required once your child has started the club.

Forest School

Mrs Millard will be taking this club.  A maximum of 12 children can participate in this after school activity.
