A great welcome home for all our lovely boarders

What a wonderful in-weekend to kick off the new year! The glorious weather continued allowing the boarders to make the most of being outside. Alongside the bike safari, the go-karts were out giving old faces and new the chance to try out the new track, as well as games and den-building in the shady woods. Laser tag was ever popular and the children loved racing around the school grounds channelling their inner Hazlegrove special forces! 

For those after a quieter, creative weekend after a busy first few days, there were lots of culinary treats with Mr Schreiber's cupcake making and Mrs Forbes' mug cakes. By lunchtime the boarders had transformed into unicorns, hedgehogs, dogs and even a dragon having enjoyed some facepainting. 

The boarders then had the option of making their own produce from blackberry picking and jam making ready to bring with them to breakfast, before others headed out to pick sacks of apples which will be sent off to make fresh Hazlegrove apple juice! 

All of this before a visit from an ice cream van and a Sunday roast to finish off a truly special weekend. A great welcome home for all our lovely boarders.
