Prep Boarding

The boarders were greeted in the morning by glorious sunshine.

Before chapel, the children enjoyed a hearty English breakfast and were full of excitement for the day ahead. Rev Bev treated us to an interactive and memorable service with the message to never give up.

Next, it was time to head to Lyme Regis! Our adventure began with exploring the beach and searching for fossils. Some of us discovered amazing ammonites, belemnites, crinoids, and sea glass that we could take home as souvenirs. We learned a lot about the history of Lyme Regis and its famous personalities, such as Mary Anning, and gained insights into how fossils are formed. After a picnic lunch on the rocks, we treated ourselves to delicious ice creams from the local shop. As we strolled along the beachfront, admiring the sea views, we savoured our ice creams. Finally, we had some fun in the arcade, playing games and winning prizes. Some of us tried our luck on the claw machines, while others challenged each other in racing games. It was a blast, and we spent all our pocket money. This fantastic trip will be a memory we’ll never forget!

Upon returning to Hazlegrove, we warmed up with hot chocolate and snacks, setting the stage for a film before Sunday roast. A lovely day was had by all.
