Hazlegrove’s Heartwarming Boarding Community

Our final in-weekend of the Summer Term felt like a fitting reflection of what makes Hazlegrove boarding such a special community.

The Teddy Bear Picnic in the shady woods proved particular popular, with biscuit-fuelled teddies joining in woodland games and a massive game of hide-and-seek! The calm vibes continued with Mrs Forbes’ Blackford spa on offer for those needing some restorative treatments. Elsewhere, the water slide, go-karts, tennis and football tournaments provided plenty of opportunity to get active.

After lunch and reading, it was time for the ever-popular inflatables. From Mr Foster’s and Mr Price’s battle royale in the sumo suits, to the boarders zooming through the assault course (and somehow seeming to just lose out to the speedy Jonty in every race!), there was a sense of community celebration out on the playing field.

Aided by the ice cream van, one of the highlights was simply sitting on the field with all the children, resident families and staff enjoying each other’s company. Weekends like this are a timely reminder of how boarding at Hazlegrove is about much more than the activities on offer but the real privilege of spending time together in such a close community.

Have a wonderful summer from the whole boarding team!
