King’s Bruton and Hazlegrove Schools are part of a dynamic and ambitious Foundation with a proud history, exceptional facilities, and strong reputations for academic excellence and pastoral care. We are seeking an outstanding marketing professional to join our team as Foundation Head of Marketing — a newly created role pivotal to shaping and communicating the Foundation’s distinctive story.
The Role
Reporting to the Foundation Director of Admissions & Marketing, the successful candidate will lead and deliver an integrated marketing and communications strategy promoting both schools and the Foundation as a whole. This is a role for a creative and strategic thinker who also enjoys hands-on delivery — someone who can plan and execute compelling campaigns, oversee brand consistency, and ensure the Foundation’s ethos and achievements are effectively shared with current families, prospective parents, alumni, and the wider community.
This position has an starting salary of £45,000, and is term time plus an additional 5 working weeks in our school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a Foundation-wide marketing and communications strategy.
- Oversee content creation across digital, social, print, and video platforms.
- Manage brand and design consistency across both schools.
- Plan and deliver marketing campaigns and PR initiatives to enhance visibility locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Development, and Alumni teams to support recruitment and engagement goals.
- Represent the Foundation at key events, ensuring creative, high-quality presentation of its identity and values.
The Successful Candidate
You will be an experienced marketing professional with a proven track record of delivering creative and strategic campaigns. You will have strong writing and digital skills, experience across multiple channels, and an innovative, data-informed approach. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
Essential skills and experience:
- Significant marketing and communications experience.
- Excellent understanding of digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Strong content creation, design oversight, and copywriting ability.
- Confident user of marketing tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Ads Manager, CRM systems).
- Organised, creative, and results-driven.
Desirable:
Experience within an independent school or education setting and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.

Foundation Admissions Assistant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a well-organised and professional Foundation Admissions Assistant to join the Admissions Departments across Hazlegrove and King’s Bruton. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and customer service support, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and welcoming admissions process for all prospective families.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage enquiries, applications, and correspondence, maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with the organisation of Open Mornings, interviews, and assessment events.
- Support the preparation of admissions documentation and communications.
- Liaise courteously with families, agents, and colleagues across both schools.
Candidate Profile
We seek a confident and adaptable individual with strong administrative and communication skills. A meticulous eye for detail, excellent IT proficiency, and a professional telephone and email manner are essential. Previous experience within school admissions or a customer-facing administrative environment would be an advantage.
The Admission Assistant has a starting salary of £25,000 and is term time with an additional 2 working weeks in our school holidays. Science Technician - Part Time
Hazlegrove is a thriving South West Co-Educational Prep School. Pupil roll is around 360 with 100 boarders. Based around an 18th century house and set in 200 acres of parkland, the school enjoys outstanding facilities. Around 30 staff live on site.
We are seeking a highly organised person to support the delivery of the teaching in the Science Department by providing practical and administrative day to day support to the teaching staff, to ensure the safety of the working environment and pupils
Essential Requirements:
- GCSEs (A-C) in English, maths, and a science subject (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH and CLEAPSS
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, observation, and critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with scientific equipment
- Ability to reflect constructively on former or current practice, and to incorporate new ideas and approaches
Desirable Requirements:
- First Aid Certificate
- Higher qualification in a Science related subject
- Experience in a Primary and/or Secondary School setting
- Understanding of how to maintain and fix scientific equipment
- Awareness and understanding of the safeguarding of young people
This is a permanent part-time, term-time only position working 12 hours, 3 morning per week from 08.30am to 12.30pm.

(EYFS) NURSERY PRACTITIONER/TEACHING ASSISTANT
(Maternity Cover) November 2025 Start
We are looking to appoint a temporary full-time Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Practitioner/Teaching Assistant to start in November. The candidates will have Early Years’ experience and be an enthusiastic and engaging professional. The candidate will care for the daily needs of the children.
Responsibilities include observing children, leading activities and contributing to team planning in accordance with the EYFS. The successful candidate will be responsible for a small group of Key Children and will maintain all records and keep up to date observations linked to the EYFS.
A secure understanding of the EYFSP, a full and relevant Level 3 qualification and good I.T. skills are essential. Experience in using an online learning journal e.g. Tapestry is highly desirable. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake Before and After-School Care duties.
