New Books Delight Pre‑Prep Children

Our Pre-School Ice Cream Parlour role-play shop opened just in time for the warm weather! The children have been having lots of fun taking turns serving and buying ice creams and lollies from one another, developing their communication, social, and imaginative play skills.

To help keep cool, the children have enjoyed a variety of water-based activities. They have loved searching for under-the-sea creatures hidden in ice, creating colourful fans to cool themselves down, and, of course, having plenty of fun splashing in the paddling pool.

The children proudly took part in their prize-giving assembly, where each child received a special book in recognition of their hard work and all they have achieved throughout the year. It was wonderful to celebrate their many accomplishments together.

As we approach the final week of term, the children have been reflecting on their favourite activities from the past academic year and have asked to revisit some of them. These include singing favourite songs such as Hello to All the Children of the World and Wake and Shake, as well as Little Donkey from their Christmas Nativity. They have also requested to be served their snack aboard the aeroplane they created using the classroom chairs and to bake one more banana bread to enjoy beneath the Faraway Tree.

It is certainly shaping up to be a busy, memorable, and fun-filled final week of term!
