We have had such a fantastic week in Year 2, filled with excitement and achievement. Our Sports Day was a huge success. The children showed incredible enthusiasm and determination in all of their races and activities. We were so proud of their positive attitudes, especially how they supported each other and tried their very best.

Back in the classroom, the children have also been producing some truly impressive writing. They have written newspaper reports about the brave rescue carried out by Grace Darling, and we have been amazed by their use of exciting vocabulary and clear organisation. They really became reporters, with a real vision of the story they were trying to capture. The children brought the dramatic story to life and showed a wonderful understanding of this inspiring historical event.
