Nursery Children Have Fun in Jubilee Woods

I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the happiness, confidence and progress that we continue to see in our children every day.

It is a privilege to watch the children grow in so many ways. Their increasing independence, curiosity and willingness to embrace new experiences are wonderful reminders of how much they are learning and developing here at Hazlegrove.

This week's Sports Day was a tremendous success. The children approached every challenge with energy, determination and excitement. What stood out most was not simply their participation, but the confidence they showed as they tackled activities that pushed them beyond their comfort zones.

We have spent time listening to the children's observations and reflections from Sports Day. Their comments demonstrated a real sense of pride and achievement. They spoke about trying their best, persevering when things felt difficult and the joy they experienced when they succeeded. These moments remind us of the immense value of providing opportunities for children to challenge themselves and discover what they are capable of achieving.

We also enjoyed a wonderful morning in Jubilee Woods this week. The children chased bubbles, played parachute games, investigated fairy rings in the grass, and charged about playing football. The quality of the children's play was a joy to observe. We saw examples of compromise, negotiation, imagination and turn-taking as the children collaborated, created games and solved problems together. The richest learning always happens through play and shared experiences. I continue to be so proud of the Nursery children.
