In Art, 6F pupils have been having lots of fun creating work inspired by the Pop Art movement. They have studied the work of the American painter Wayne Thiebaud, focusing specifically on his series of luscious, pastel‑hued ice‑cream paintings in pastels and oil paint. This gave pupils plenty of inspiration to start making their own super‑sized ice‑cream sculpture! Pupils are using card, paper, masking tape, glue and acrylic paint for this project, and I look forward to seeing some amazing pieces once they are finished.
