A Special Picnic Lunch to Prepare for Pre‑School
We have had a wonderful week exploring our new Seaside topic, with a special focus on rock pools and sharks.
The children have been very inquisitive, learning about the fascinating creatures that can be found in rock pools. They have also created some very individual shark collages, full of sharp triangular teeth! As part of our seaside exploration, the children had the opportunity to carefully observe and handle a selection of real seaside treasures. They had to practise using their gentle hands and wait their turn, whilst being quiet so their peers could listen to the sea in the shells. There have been lots of new words to learn too, such as giant conch shell, tiger cowrie, coral and starfish.
They had a lovely ballet lesson and used perfect listing skills to learn special ballet moves.
The children were also very proud to show Mrs Finlay their excellent manners during a special picnic lunch preparing for Pre‑School. We have also been busy practising for Sports Day, trying out activities and listening to and following instructions. Fingers crossed everything comes together on the day!
