Pre-School Pick Their Own Strawberries

It is always lovely to hear all about what the children have been up to over the holidays when they proudly stand up in front of their friends to tell them about their adventures. Beach holidays, winning rosettes on their ponies, and trips to the Newt are just a few of the exciting experiences they have shared.

It has been a busy start to the week learning about dragonflies and their amazing aerial acrobatics. The children then went on to create some beautiful dragonflies, which are now flying around the classroom.

We also had an amazing Bug Fest event!  The children were very excited and enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of activities, discovering lots of different creatures including giant snails, tarantulas, millipedes, stick insects, and many more. They also made their very own bug houses to take home.

Pre-School have also been working on a beautiful project using embroidery hoops. The children have been using different coloured embroidery silks to create a variety of patterns. This is an ongoing project that they will continue to add to over the coming weeks.

We have also been enjoying our pop-up "Pick Your Own Strawberry" farm shop, where the children have been using their numeracy skills to count strawberries and serve them in little pots.
