Nursery are Full of Confidence and Kindness This Week
A huge Rainbow Clap (ask your child to show you!) to all the Nursery children this week. It can be a bit overwhelming to have visitors in your classroom but the friendliness, smiles and invitations to the inspectors to play with them has been so charming! The children are full of confidence and kindness - what more could any of us wish for.
The tortoises have their "names" on them now with marker pens! Our snails are well fed with snack peelings. The children's interest in small animals is extending into minibeasts this week, with playdoh printing, butterfly painting, cabbage leaf cutting, sorting and categorising insects, and wiggly worm digging as we use The Hungry Caterpillar, What the Ladybird Heard and The Very Lonely Firefly to support their learning. Bug Fest is visiting the Nursery and Pre- School for a special day of activities after half term, providing opportunities to bring their learning, literally, to life!
Out in the playground, Nursery and Pre-School children are often seen collaborating in construction, playing role play games, or navigating equipment together. The kindness, compromise, turn taking and listening to others’ ideas is a testament to both classes being curious and kind.
