Wow! This may have been a short week but is has been incredibly busy and very exciting !

In Reception, we have been writing our very own hungry insect stories, innovating Eric Carles' work with spiders, worms and centipedes!  In our number work we have continued our work with numbers 10-20, partitioning and solving problems that have needed us to recall our doubles, odds and evens and number bonds.

On Wednesday, the children amazed us with their confidence and stamina during our cycle event. It was wonderful to see them all having so much fun, whilst raising money for the Safari Simbaz charity. 

Our class caterpillars are growing fast, and we are keeping an eye out for any chrysallis forming. We have learned about the different stages of the life cycle and recreated this using collage and pens. We have also made some beautiful petal stain butterflies that are now flitting around the classroom.  We cannot wait for our real ones to appear.
