Year 2 Attend Hinduism Workshop

This week in Year 2, the children have been busy and enthusiastic across all areas of learning. In English, they have been developing their writing skills by creating exciting wolf stories, exploring both fiction and non‑fiction. The children have loved learning how facts and stories differ and have worked hard to include descriptive language and interesting details in their writing.

In Science, we have been exploring plants and the natural world.  We have learnt more about seed dispersal and how plants spread their seeds in different ways. The children were curious, creative, and asked thoughtful questions during our discussions. The children enjoyed making willow fish, during our art session this week.

In Maths, the focus has been on building a secure understanding of halves and quarters. The children have been learning how to find and recognise halves and quarters of shapes and quantities, using practical resources and visuals to support their understanding.

We have also taken time to enjoy the sunny, breezy weather, making the most of opportunities to learn and play outside. It has been wonderful to see the children so engaged, happy, and motivated in their learning
