Pre-School Make Homemade Pasta and Pesto

Our Pre-School Sun Cream Shop officially opened this week, and it was a great success! The children lined up with their “ice cream tokens” and patiently waited their turn to have sun cream applied before heading out to enjoy the sunshine. It’s been a fun and engaging way to reinforce the importance of sun safety.

We have also been exploring the school grounds, spotting the beautiful blossom trees in bloom. Inspired by what they saw, the children created their own lovely blossom artwork.

This week, the children have been busy using their culinary skills to make wild garlic pesto and handmade pasta. The classroom was filled with the most wonderful aroma as they carefully chopped the wild garlic leaves, ready to be blended with the other ingredients. They then made pasta dough and thoroughly enjoyed feeding it through the pasta machine to create their very own tagliatelle.

Our Pre-School Pony Club has also been in training during PE lessons, preparing for Sports Day. The “ponies” are getting ready for their race, and the “jockeys” have been doing a fantastic job of ensuring they are calm and well-behaved while waiting for their turn on the track.

Finally, our new chapter book, The Enchanted Wood, has truly captured the children’s imaginations. They have been listening with great excitement as the characters discover the magical forest and their adventures begin.
