Month of the Military Child
Despite not having much of the month of April left, we have been so pleased to be able to mark the Month of the Military Child this year and celebrate our cohort of nearly 70 military children. This morning over 30 of our military children volunteered to lead school assembly, sharing with their peers what life is like having parents in the military, and some of the benefits and challenges this can bring. They explained the reasons behind the Dandelion being the symbol chosen to represent Military Children; a flower that shows strength and resilience and the ability to put down roots and thrive wherever they are. And this afternoon our catering team treated us to a delicious tea where it was such a privilege to see children from nursery to year 8 bonded by their shared experiences.
