Pre-School Learn All About the Dentist
Pre-School have been very busy this week, excitedly making crafts for a special day this weekend. During our circle time, the children have all been talking about how they could make Mothering Sunday extra special for their Mummies. Ideas included, “'taking my Mummy breakfast in bed'', “looking after my Mummy all day,” and “tidying up my toys'').
We have started our new book ‘Flat Stanley'’. The children have enjoyed listening to all the adventures that Stanley gets up to; their listening and attention has been fantastic. They have all enjoyed listening intently and then recapping on the story afterwards.
In our role play area, we have had some budding dentists and some very brave patients! The children have been learning how to keep their teeth healthy and all the right foods to eat. This was followed by a wonderful visit from Dentist Tara; the children were very excited to show her their very own dental surgery in the classroom.
The Pony Club had another outing this week, riding over to the gym. Unfortunately, a couple of ponies slightly mis-behaved and began to eat the flowers and grass. Luckily, they were not spotted and were quickly sent back to their stables!
We have continued learning about positional language. The children have been using different objects around the classroom and talking about their positions, under, on top, next to, behind. Well done, Pre-School a very busy week.
