Year 1 have had a truly fantastic week! As well as creating their brilliant non‑fiction, lift‑the‑flap planet books, the children were thrilled to welcome their Mummies and Daddies into school to help the children build rockets and admire all their amazing work. This parent visit was definitely the highlight of the week. In maths, we have been practising our skills in comparing and ordering numbers, showing growing confidence and enthusiasm. In history, the children created a space timeline of space exploration to develop our understanding of space travel through History. Some of the female astronauts were quite inspiring! We ended the week with a joyful Burns Night celebration on Friday, which everyone greatly enjoyed. What a busy and exciting week of learning it has been for Year 1.
