After learning about the brutal murder of Thomas Becket, Year 7 have explored what medieval pilgrims hoped to see and gain when visiting relics such as the shrine at Canterbury. They looked at pilgrim badges, a reproduction of a mirror used to capture the reflection of a relic, and handled a third‑class relic: fabric that had touched the bones of Saint Marguerite Marie (1647–1690).
