Nursery Visit Hazlegrove Bunnies

The very youngest children at Hazlegrove have demonstrated our school value of Kindness on many occasions this week. The highlight was an inaugural trip to see Midnight and Mooch, the Hazlegrove bunnies. The children were able to name carrots as suitable food for rabbits and back we all went the next day with baskets full of special rabbit breakfast. Those children recalled the event frequently to staff and parents and practised using language such as ‘soft’, ‘fluffy’, ‘fast’ and ‘hop’,  with big smiles showing us what a positive impact feeding the rabbits had on their personal social and emotional development as well as communication and language. Sparkle, our class Kindness Elf was so impressed. The Nursery children have eaten their fair share of blackberries from the grounds this week and some even made it into the Blackberry muffins they made.
