A Seaside Trip for the Boarders
Hazlegrove boarders enjoyed a relaxing, sunny beach day on Sunday. After a hearty full English breakfast, we gathered the buckets, spades, balls, cricket sets, hats and suncream, and headed off to Weymouth’s Blue Flag beach on the Dorset coast. Pupils enjoyed the music-filled minibus journey through the picturesque countryside and arrived at the beach just in time for the sun to come out.
A few of the children braved the cool waters for some paddling, and everyone kept busy on the expansive beach with activities such as beach cricket, rugby, football, building sandcastles, and taking turns being buried in the soft sand. After sandwiches on the beach, pupils were excited to indulge in some award-winning Dorset ice cream from Baboo Gelato.
Tired and sandy, we then headed back to school in time for a reflective Chapel with Rev Bev. A lovely day was had by all!
