Wow! What an exciting and busy week we have had in Reception! We have been writing our very own hungry insect stories, innovating Eric Carles' work with spiders, worms and centipedes!  On Wednesday, the children amazed us with their confidence and stamina during our cycle event. It was wonderful to see them all having so much fun, whilst raising money for the Safari Simbaz charity.  On Thursday, dressed head to toe in red, white and blue,  we had a wonderful carousel of activities to celebrate the 80^th Anniversary of VE day, the children sang songs, created wreathes and decorated pebbles and biscuits. It was a very special day, topped off by a picnic all together on the lawn.  We have also had lots of excitement due to the arrival of our class caterpillars (finally!) We cannot wait to watch them grow over the next few weeks.
