Silver Stories Tea Party
This week, the Silver Stories Club, held on Mondays for both Middle and Upper School, hosted an Easter-themed tea party in the library. This provided our Silver Readers with an opportunity to meet and chat face-to-face with their Silver Listeners, who they have been reading to over the term. It was an absolute pleasure to see all the happy smiles and constant chatter between everybody. As Year 6 have been performing The Lion King Jnr and many of our Silver Readers are in Year 6, we thought it would be extra special to perform a few favourites from the show. After the event, Cherry from Candlelight Care got in touch to say, "The unexpected surprise of having the Year 6 pupils sing to us was truly magical and my goodness, they sang beautifully and with such confidence too. The tea afterwards was delicious, and to sit and talk with the Silver Readers was so special. I know the Silver Listeners love their weekly phone calls; they forget about all their aches and pains and feel young again!" A huge thank you to all involved.
