A Visit from Author Rupert Attlee
Hazlegrove is thrilled to have had a special visit yesterday afternoon from Rupert Attlee, author, prep school teacher and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Attlee, known for his adventurous spirit and captivating storytelling, will be sharing insights from his children's book 'Lost at the End of the World' with our pupils.
Rupert Attlee is the celebrated author of ‘The Trail to Titicaca,’ a book that chronicles his thrilling journey cycling up the Andes in South America. This remarkable work was long-listed for the Thomas Cook Travel Book of the Year and has become a recommended GCSE English literature text. His vivid descriptions and engaging narrative have inspired many young readers and adventurers alike.
When he is not inspiring pupils in the classroom, Rupert can be found exploring the great outdoors. Recently, Rupert returned from an expedition to Patagonia in search of the legendary Lost City of the Caesars.
During his visit to Hazlegrove, Rupert discussed his latest children's book, sharing the adventures and experiences that have shaped his writing. This event has been an enriching experience for our pupils, sparking their imaginations and encouraging a love for reading and exploration.
