A Wonderful Weekend for our Boarders
This weekend was an action-packed adventure for our boarders, filled with exciting activities that brought fun, teamwork, and creativity to the forefront. The juniors kicked off their Sunday morning immersed in the wonders of nature, participating in a range of outdoor activities. They got hands-on with bird feeder making, ensuring our feathered friends are well cared for. Archery proved to be a big hit, with pupils testing their accuracy and precision. Woodland walks provided an opportunity to explore the natural surroundings and, of course, den building was a firm favourite, as teams worked together to construct the ultimate woodland hideaways. Meanwhile, the seniors embarked on a completely different challenge – a visit to the Shepton Mallet Escape Room Prison. With minds racing and adrenaline pumping, they worked together to solve puzzles, unlock clues, and break free from their prison-themed escape rooms. Luckily, some of our seniors managed to escape with minutes to spare!
After a well-earned lunch and a peaceful reading period, the fun continued with a carousel of activities. Boarders were able to battle in the sports hall with Nerf guns, whilst others opted for a splash in the pool during the swimming session. Some of our boarders headed to the hockey pitch for fast-paced gameplay, whilst those with a creative streak channelled their energy into moviemaking, bringing imaginative ideas to life on screen. As the day wound down, the pupils took a moment for reflection with a letter-writing session, and the weekend concluded on a meaningful note with a chapel service led by Rev Bev. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend filled with laughter and memorable experiences.
