Year 2 Enjoy First Week Back at Hazlegrove
The winter chill was kept at bay this week. Being able to wear our lovely, cosy hats and gloves has made a tremendous difference. We kept the chill out of our classrooms with the new topic we started this term The Great Fire of London. The burning streets of London in 1666 have sparked our interest in a disastrous fire that started on Pudding Lane. The children have been totally immersed in this period in history and have been already discovering so many of the facts. This short week has seen us have lots of fun catching up with our friends in the classrooms and playground. So many adventures to hear about and we must have all been very good last year because we all received so many wonderful gifts from Father Christmas which we have been telling our friends and teachers about this week. Happy New Year from the teachers in Year 2.
