Another Spectacular Speech and Drama Showcase
The Speech and Drama showcase was held in the Hazlegrove theatre on Tuesday 6 February.
It was delightful to see so many children keen and ready to perform their solo/group/duo acting or devised LAMDA scenes after their great exam and scholarship successes! They have all done so well. Simple staging and props were magically brought to life by some wonderful performances! Pieces were drawn from William Shakespeare, George Bernard Shaw, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Kenneth Grahame, James Reeves and William Archibald and were enjoyed by all. It was lovely to see so many children bringing their own material to life through their devised pieces.
Miss de la Poer was extremely proud and said, ‘Thank you so much to all parents for helping our performers learn their lines and for being such a supportive audience! Your children are wonderful to teach! I would also like to thank all the Hazlegrove staff who made this event possible.
