Prep Drama and Dance

Luckily for the Lower School, the Stumbledorf dragon didn’t turn out to be the terrifying monster the villagers of Stumbledorf had all imagined!

The Lower School ended half term on a real high with their spectacular production of Dragon Days. Their sensational singing could be heard across the grounds and no doubt many of the heart-warming catchy tunes will be ear worms for quite some time! It has been fabulous to see the pupils’ commitment to the production and their enjoyment throughout rehearsals and the performances, as well as their blossoming confidence – for some, this has been their first venture of many onto stage. They sang, danced, acted and narrated marvellously to retell the story of the unlikely hero Charlie, who arrived with his Old Ma in the quaint Alpine village of Stumbledorf, only to be thrust into the limelight by scheming musicians on a quest to save the village from a frightening dragon. However, as the villagers soon discovered, looks aren’t always what they seem. The lyrics from the final song ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ and ‘Look for the goodness in everyone’ are key messages for all of us as we connect with the world.
