Year 2 Investigate Different Materials in Science
Despite the blustery weather, Year 2 have shown fantastic enthusiasm in all areas of their learning. This week, we continued our work on the Great Fire of London, exploring how and where the fire started and why it spread so quickly.
In Science, we have been investigating different materials and thinking about what objects are made from, and why certain materials are chosen for specific purposes. The children had great fun sorting everyday objects, testing how strong or flexible they were, and discussing why things like windows are not made of cardboard and why spoons aren’t made of paper!
