Nursery Work on Their Confident Voices
Our focus this term is being a good friend, and the children have made some wonderful progress. We are also supporting them to use loud, confident voices to say “please” and “thank you”, helping them to express themselves clearly and politely.
We have been encouraging kindness and thoughtfulness, and it has been lovely to see the children sharing more with one another and looking after their peers if they fall over. They are also developing their patience as they practise waiting for their turn or have a go at putting on their own shoes whilst waiting for help.
In the afternoons, we have enjoyed some terrific turn‑taking games, where the children listened carefully to each other and worked together as a team to balance the logs on the wooden ladybird. There was so much wonderful encouragement from the children as it got harder and harder and they are now keen to try again every afternoon. Winter wonderland learning continues with night‑sky pictures, threading snowflakes with beads, and painting and designing bobble hats!
