Year 3 Test Anglo Saxon Skills
This week, Year 3 stepped back in time to explore what life might have been like in an Anglo‑Saxon village, filling the classroom with excitement as pupils tried traditional crafts from over a thousand years ago. They began with weaving, where a simple loom made from wooden spoons and plenty of patience helped them appreciate the skill involved in producing even a small piece of woven pattern. To complete their Anglo‑Saxon journey, the children created paper collage shields inspired by historic patterns and symbols. Year 3 are thoroughly enjoying discovering Anglo‑Saxon life through making, creating and experimenting, their enthusiasm and craftsmanship would certainly have made the Anglo‑Saxons proud!
