Year 2 Visit St Barnabas Church

This week, our Year 2 children enjoyed a wonderful visit to St Barnabas Church as part of their Religious Education. The trip gave them the opportunity to explore the church building, learn about its history, and understand the significance of its features. The children listened attentively as they discovered how the church is used for worship and community events.

They were full of enthusiasm afterwards! Here are some of their thoughts:
‘I liked seeing the big stained-glass windows – they were so colourful!’
‘I didn’t know the font was for baptisms. Reverend Rose sprinkled water on all of us just like she does in church!’
‘The bells were my favourite part – I rang the tinga tinga bell.’

A big thank you to St Barnabas for welcoming us so warmly!
