Pre-School Discuss Paper Towels

Pre-School have been busy continuing with their rehearsals for our Nativity this week. They are all becoming very excited about performing to an audience and dressing up in their costumes.

One morning, one of the children noticed that the bin had started to overflow with all the paper hand towels that had been used. This led to a great discussion about where the paper towels had come from. The children listened intently to a beautiful story, In the Forest, learning how the trees were being cut down and the animals fleeing so that the trees could be used to make paper. They learnt about how important it is to replant the woodlands.

The children then debated how many paper towels they should use when drying their hands. They all decided together that one hand towel at a time would be enough, a great in-the-moment learning opportunity.
