Year 5 stepped into the shoes of young wartime campaigners, crafting powerful persuasive speeches aimed at rallying the men of their local town to enlist for World War I. Each pupil then delivered a portion of their speech in front of their peers, donning an authentic army hat and coat to bring history to life. The experience not only deepened their understanding of wartime propaganda but also gave them an opportunity to gain confidence in public speaking.
