Nursery Paint Pumpkins

We have had a wonderful week in Nursery filled with excitement and exploration. We have been using our strong hand, finger and shoulder muscles to prepare our own snack. We listened carefully to the instructions before using a special knife to safely cut up pieces of fruit. First, we talked about how we should prepare each different piece; we discussed which fruits needed peeling, which fruits had stalks and which ones we all enjoyed eating. It was super to observe such concentration when the children were chopping and taking pride in their own achievements when we shared the fruits with our friends.

We have been talking about keeping our bodies healthy, the importance of washing hands and cleaning our teeth. Our babies in the role play area have benefited from lots of washes this week!

Counting our fingers, we have painted pumpkins with five parts,  we practised touch counting and saying the numbers in the correct sequence.

Finally, we have had some birthdays this week and it has been lovely to celebrate turning three together.

Happy half term!
