What an extraordinary week it’s been in Year 1! We were thrilled to welcome our amazing parents into the classroom for our Open Classroom Morning, giving them a glimpse into the incredible learning that happens every day.

Our story this week was The Gingerbread Man, and the children had a fantastic time retelling it with expressive actions. They even got creative by inventing their own endings, some were surprising, others hilarious, but all were wonderfully imaginative!

In maths, we explored ordering numbers in fun and practical ways. Using toy cars and building blocks, the children learned about ordinal numbers through hands-on activities that brought the concepts to life.

The highlight of the week was undoubtedly our Harvest Assembly. The children shone on stage, performing with confidence and heart. We couldn’t be prouder of their efforts and the joy they brought to the audience.
