Year 5 stepped back in time to explore the dramatic events that sparked the First World War. Dressed in costume, pupils re-enacted the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand through a series of carefully constructed freeze frames, bringing history to life.

Our very own maintenance buggy became the open-top limousine, which excited the children and enhanced the authenticity of the scene. Pupils gained an excellent understanding of this historical event and its worldwide impact.
