Trip trap, trip trap... Who’s that retelling stories with actions?

It’s Year 1 diving into the classic tale of The Three Billy Goats Gruff! The children have been busy creating story maps and working with partners to sequence key events. They’re learning lots of exciting story language to use in their own writing.

Making troll masks was a highlight with paint, collage materials, and plenty of imagination! But beware... there might be trolls lurking under bridges!

In maths, counting and representing numbers has been great fun. The children explored different ways to make numbers and tackled problem-solving challenges using their growing skills.

Science has been all about learning to label accurately, a key skill in Year 1. The children labelled parts of the face and discovered which body part is linked to each of the five senses.
