Year 4 Outdoor Education
Year 4’s first Outdoor Education session began with a calming meditation while sheltering from the torrential rain, before heading out on a sunny walk around the school grounds. Along the way, we paused to explore key landmarks, including the sword in the stone, the original location of the school gates, and Hazlegrove’s own tree celebrity — the King John Oak — estimated to be over 1,000 years old.
The walk was a fantastic opportunity to connect as a year group and set the tone for our exciting new Outdoor Ed scheme of work launching this term.
