Year 2 Children Complete Their Science Project
The sun maybe hiding behind the clouds this week, but Year 2 have been full of fun and enthusiasm. The story Flotsam by David Weisner has fascinated everyone. A story without words was whispered by many as we delved deeper into the story. It was indeed, a story without words beautifully illustrated and full of imaginative ideas. This lovely book inspired us all and the children enthusiastically developed their own stories about finding the magic camera in the story.
It has been an exciting end to our science experiment. We have looked at plant growing conditions and what elements are key to successful plant growth. The children have eagerly been watching the plant progress in the classroom measuring the growth with their hands. We asked them to make predictions about the plants in the dark. Many gasps were heard as they were produced from their hiding place.
A very special end to the week with our Prize Giving, the children should all be very proud of their achievements.
