We have had a wonderful week exploring seaside poetry, the children have loved listening to a range of seaside based poems. We have talked about rhyming words we could hear in the poems and independently created rhyming strings using real and made up words. We have been playing lots of phonic games and everyone has impressed us with their phonemic awareness.

In the water tray, we have explored capacity- using some key vocabulary we made predictions about which container would hold more or less. We then used a scoop to fill each container and count how many we needed- we compared which had the greater capacity.

Lots of children have been continuing to work hard on their precision when cutting, we have explored a range of scissors making sure everyone can find a pair that are comfortable to use.

It was a super Prize Giving event on Wednesday, so lovely to see the children confidently receiving their books from Mr Benbow for their hard work over the year. We are so proud of their progress.
