Nursery children have been reading 'Pirates Love Underpants' this week. The children were full of excitement as they pieced together a broken map and worked together using their number skills to put the map into order, and discovered that they would be going on a treasure hunt the very next day! 

Armed with homemade telescopes and individual maps, the children followed visual clues of familiar landmarks around the school, collecting underpants along the way.  Lastly, we hopped onto a boat, singing our newly learnt Pirate song, which led us to a castle full of golden and edible treasure! 

The children finished their week, making their own maps, where they used their story telling skills to come up with their own Pirate adventure! 

What a fantastic week! We are looking forward to some more exciting adventures next week, as we complete what has been a brilliant year.
