The children's attitude in this sunny week full of end of year activities is summed up by the lyric "Feelin good" as they happily enjoyed all the different activities. The ethos of a Hazlegrove sports day revolves around promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy competition, while fostering our school values. It's a chance for all the children to challenge themselves, celebrate achievements, and build positive associations with physical activity. This was managed by all the children with the support of our wonderful PE staff. They have worked with the children each week to foster these skills in their PE lessons. Moving Up Afternoon on Thursday let Year 2 children visit their classrooms and teachers that they will have for the next academic year. This has been an exciting and everyone returned to the Year 2 classrooms full of stories of the super activities they will get to participate in next year. We have definitely all done our best this week and achieved many goals.
