Year 2 Explore Dynamics in Friendship

Year 2 have been diving deep into the world of relationships this week in their PSE lessons, exploring the different dynamics that bind us together as friends. They've been using their own personal experiences as a lens to understand the connections they have with each other. The discussions about friendship, family, and school community showed us how strongly they felt about these matters.  These lessons have sparked lively discussions and insightful reflections among the children, fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of relationships in our lives.

In their history lessons, the children had the exciting opportunity to meet Grace Darling, albeit virtually. This brave heroine from the 19th century, known for her daring sea rescue, brought their History and English lessons to life. The children were captivated by her story, learning about courage, empathy, and the power of one individual to make a difference. This encounter with Grace Darling not only enriched their historical knowledge but also provided a real-life example of the strong relationships they've been exploring in their PSE lessons.
