Nursery Create Clay Rainbow Fish

This week in Nursery, our three-year-olds have been reading the story of 'Rainbow Fish'. They have explored what makes each of them special and unique and then they created their own clay Rainbow Fish, carefully choosing special scales with sequins and shiny objects.

The children have expressed their thoughts on being kind friends through mark making. They also discovered different shapes and practiced their cutting skills whilst making shape fish.

Our two-year-olds had fun learning seaside songs and reading the story of Hooray Fish. They worked together to create patterned scales for a large fish, developing their teamwork and artistic skills.

Using cotton buds to paint fish and fishing for numbered fish in the sea helped the children enhance their mathematical and fine motor skills. It was a joy to watch them engage in these activities with such enthusiasm!
