Pre-School Enjoy Story of ‘The Tiny Seed’
This week, Pre-School have had a super time exploring seeds and the life cycle of a plant. We have looked closely at a range of seeds and talked about what they need to grow. When talking about the story ‘The Tiny Seed’, children have used some wonderful language to talk about what they know; “seeds need sunlight and water” and “ice is too cold for seeds to grow!”
We have used a number line to recognise numerals and talking about one more, we will learn about one less next week. The children have enjoyed counting lots of different objects, and we have played lots of counting games. Puzzles have been popular this week and it has been lovely to watch children working cooperatively to complete them.
We enjoyed the bike event on Wednesday, and the children impressed us all with the cycling skills they displayed. On Thursday, we made our own ice lollies with fruit and milk which we enjoyed on Friday afternoon as an end of week treat.
Next week, we will be sharing the story Jasper’s Beanstalk.
