Year 4 Passover Meal
Year 4 had a wonderful time immersing themselves in a traditional Passover meal, bringing their learning to life. Before the meal, the children took part in the important tradition of removing all yeast from the house—searching high and low for any leftover croutons! The meal took place in the Annex, where Mrs Hughes guided them through the rituals, explaining the significance of each dish. The children deepened their understanding of the Exodus story and discovered the meaning behind the different foods on the Seder plate.
Theo C summed it up: “It was great to try different foods and learn about Jewish culture. My favourite part was the horseradish dipped in salt water and I had a fantastic time.”
