Spring is in the Air for Reception
Spring is in the air in Reception this week as we have observed our hyacinths blooming for a second time and we have welcomed some tadpoles to the classrooms! The children have been writing fantastic accounts of our trip to the Rural Life Museum, using time openers to order events and applying their phonics to spell new words. On Friday, we read the beautiful story 'Rabittyness' by Jo Empson which inspired the children to create fantastically colourful blown ink pictures and to write about their favourite animals and some of the 'unanimalike' things they might enjoy doing! An elephant that likes ice skating or a badger that enjoys reading poems, perhaps? We cannot wait to see what adventures next week will bring.
