Reception Take a Bare Foot Walk

'Pancake pandemonium' hit the Reception classes this week and the children enjoyed making their own batter, practising their flipping technique with playdough and bean bag pancakes and deciding on their favourite toppings. We then made recipe booklets, thinking about bossy verbs and making sure we wrote the correct quantities for our batter.

On Thursday there was much excitement for World Book Day, Miss Coker- Harris and I were replaced by Mr Bump and the Very Hungry Caterpillar but the children didn't seem to mind! It was wonderful to see their amazing costumes and to hear them speak so confidently about their favourite stories. The best part of our day was a bare foot walk through the 'Bear Hunt' story. A  very special sensory experience that really brought the story to life.

It has been an amazing week.
